This is what happened when you have MES in lab

This should be a brief post as I am not sure what to write actually. But some great things did crossed my life. It may not funny or important to others. I found it kinda giving me some impacts to my life even if it was a small one..

Well, most of the time we will have Meet the Expert Session (MES) according to our lab. I am placed in Lab 8 this year which I think the combination of people in my lab was so cool.. We have fun all the time during practical or whatever class in the lab.

It was physiology class in the lab that day. I was at the end of the discussion table with Allison & Jonathan. Our lecturer, Dr. Amin was so excited talking about heart electrical activity. Since the three of us together, our attention were totally deviated. Jonathan, the lab clown a.k.a the funny one always made something out of expectation. So, this is the conversation.

Me: (Laugh at whatever Jonathan said)
Allison: Why do you like to humiliate yourself?
Jonathan: No, I didnt
Allison: Yeah, you just did that..
Jonathan: No la.. That is not humiliation
Allison: That is..
Jonathan: You know what.. Humiliation lies in the eyes of the beholder..
Me: (Try to not laugh as I tried to stand on Allison's side)

Both of them are PBLmate as well as lab-mate.. So I hardly know what they tried to talk about sometimes and end up being their audience & laugh for nothing..

I like that 'proverb' by Jonathan - Humiliation lies in the eyes of the beholder..
I have to admit he is such a creative one & his English is damn bombastic after having lots of chat with him..

Not to forget, the most power question I heard in my medical life now - How long is the Bundle of His? lolz.. XD -gotcha-

This question deviated our attention back to the class.. lalalalal...

Gerai Klinikal Pesta Konvokesyen Ke-37 UKM

Clinical booth - Yay! I'm loving it... First, it was time for me to brush up my skill since my last clinical booth was January in Penampang, Sabah.. Secondly, I need some air out of my campus since I am having super CVS module on that time..

Went to UKM, Bangi for clinical booth there in Dewan Gemilang. The last time I stepped into Dewan Gemilang was last year when I registered myself as the newbie there. While for UKM Bangi, I was there for debate training last year as well, if I am not mistaken..

Just a very small booth for Fakulti Perubatan and a few stations : BMI, BFD, BP, Blood test, Consultation..

My schedule was BMI + BFD (Body Fat Distributions), Flyers & Blood test..
Actually, I want to do BP so badly..
When we had no 'customer', we did BP among ourselves & guided the 1st year as well..

Spent almost 12 hours just for clinical booth plus my journey there and back to hostel.. Hate the jam & rain.. Tiring journey..

At the site outside the Dewan Gemilang, there were damn lots of booth selling food, drinks, stuff toys, flowers and many more... After my shift ended, we went shopping around the booth.. I bought a bag, cool.. There were booth selling Crocs for only rm50 & Tropicana Life with 70% discount.. LOLZ....

Oh ya, I almost forgot.. I met Poh Ling at last!!! Happy.. It had been a long time I didnt meet her. I think the last time was during Form 5, she sat beside me.. lol.. HAPPY =)

A very blur picture of me doing with blood test punya stuff

Happiness in Between Busy-ness

20 days without any post in my blog, only 1 word can explain it - BUSY LIKE HELL (perhaps, 3 words.. =.=)

We used to have 4 weeks each module, usually.. After the quarantine, we finished CVS module in 3 weeks.. CVS = Cardiovascular System, in case you are curious about it.. Let's see, 17 lectures, 5 SLPs, 3 PBLs, 6 Practicals + PPD class + PPD movie + CSL in HUKM + Medicine & Society = 3 weeks..

For the very 1st time we had classes until 7pm for a few days.. Super tiring days + chasing for bus as 7pm bus will be the last one.. It was tiring but I think after it was over, I kinda love the experience. Being busy is sort of fun.. Starting to love my life.. Teehee...

Finish about the BUSY LIKE HELL part of my life, I think I would love to share my view about the PPD movie I watched with my coursemates in a cold Dewan Kuliah that has uncomfortable seats..

PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS

First impression about this movie was it was going to be a nice one. I personally love Will Smith on screen.. He can just take any role & give a blast on it.. Good job..

It was a very inspiring movie for me. The first thing that hit me after the movie ended was - I AM SO LUCKY.. Yeah, I have to admit that I am very very lucky that I have a good life now if to compared with billions & trillions of people in this world. I am lucky I have a home, a big family, a bunch of friends, good surrounding with food, water, shelter & air.. I can't imagine my life without love, warmth, care & needs..

Chris Gardner (Will Smith) went through his life as if nothing is impossible. Not to forget his biological son (Jayden Christopher Smith) who also acted as his son in the movie showed a very strong character as well.. Going through ups & downs, side by side with his father.

During PPD video session discussion in BSKK 16..

Prof Dr Harlina asked me, "Which scene do you like the most?"

The 1st scene that popped in my mind was the toilet scene.. It was so unexpected that it got so worst that they had to sleep in the toilet. This made me recall my reaction in public toilets. I went in wrinkling my forehead because of the dirtyness & smell.. And then rushed out from the toilet as soon as possible..

For Chris & Christopher, they went through it whole night just to have a safe & warm shelter. Life can be so unpredictable & tough..

I think this movie worth to watch even if I have to pay for the ticket. The good thing is I don't have to pay for it & watched it for free in my campus.. In this case, I am grateful that God had showed me the way of inspiration, motivation & gratefulness in the way that I didn't have to sacrifice for it. Thanks..

Along these busy weeks, the lessons in the movie had guide me through it in a better way...

So, WATCH THAT MOVIE WHEN YOU FEEL DE-MOTIVATED....

Oh ya, not to forget, this is my 100th post!!!! Hooray!!

Ending my day with bad mood...

My day went so well for me today..

I have mood to study for my lectures.. Just 1 lecture note, full of satisfactory..

In the afternoon after my shower, I pampered myself with refreshing face mask.. That was so relaxing.. Having nice afternoon tea with pau..

In the evening, went out with my parents to shop & had supper.. Everything went smooth-sailing today..

Til just now, I sent an SMS to my friend.. I noticed the text was not delivered. So I tried to text again.. The SMS was not delivered again.. I off the phone and tried to switch it on again.. =( The phone jz gave me a vibration respond & died off directly.. I tried a lot of time.. This was so disappointing.. It was my new phone for 1 week plus!!!

A cocktail of anger and sadness mixing in my soul now.

Another bad day...

*1st time i took it to class was the 1st day I was quarantine*

Luck... *sigh*

Days after quarantine

That was so close... Almost got trapped inside KTSN for a week.. Thank God, we are free now!!
*YIPPEE!!!*

Out of KTSN 10.45am, need signature from felo as I had some symptoms.. *Cough cough* *Sneeze*

Back to Segamat, 1st thg - to CLINIC..
Doctor didn't seems to worry about my condition at all..
Told him I was under quarantine for 3 days.. *Laugh was all he had*
Given antibiotics, paracetamol, cough & flu medicine...

I took antibiotics and cough medicine after dinner..
Oh boy... I become so blur after that..
Part of it I felt a little bit confuse..
Part of it I felt I could just collapse on bed & doze off..

Well, although I am freaking blur & confuse, I am still so addicted to the Net..
After an hour or more, ta-da.. My addiction beats the effects of the medicine...

Lol...

Quarantine - Day 3

I didn't know why I woke up early everyday even it was quarantine day..

I woke up around 7am every morning.. And I hardly doze off again.. Hmm..

Everytime I woke up, I'll tell myself to study & appreciate the time I had to brush up my Blood & Lymph module.. After I wake my laptop, the determination of studying gone in the air.. *poof - gone*

As a result, I just read half of the 1st lecture.. *swt*
Gosh.. Kemalasan tahap dewa already.. *Oink oink* Feel like a pig..

Didn't feel very well today since I crawled out from my dream and bed..
Runny nose...
Feel heat around my palm and sometimes body..

Oh no.. H1N1??

But then, when the day went on, I felt better..

Swear to myself if I feel worst again, I will go seek medical attention..
*Still hold on to my promise*

Good news came around 7pm in DSG when all the so called 'quarantine ppl' were gathered in the hall..

Anda semua boleh balik selepas pukul 9 pagi esok.. The most happy cheer I ever heard in my life..

It was not like the cheer that I heard before in my sports day, or when we were declared winner in any competition.. Or even when Malaysia was announced merdeka..

This was the most estatic cheer I ever heard.. It was from the poor quarantine ppl.. lolz..

What a relieve moment I had.. All the sickness gone in the thin air killed by the antibody of cheers...

Wakakaka... Dream comes true... Miracle do happens!!!!!

Quarantine - Day 2

I didn't feel well the whole day..

I had cough since I was in Penang few days ago..

Perhaps I had too much fried food & black pepper.. I had sore throat.. I hate it so much as I disrupted my sleep.. It made me drink more and more and more.. As the result of that, I visited the toilet more than anything..

Day 2 was so bored.. It was like 2 weeks I had been trapped here in KTSN..

Trying to be positive..

But all those unclear and nonsense announcement jz couldn't stop making me thinking that I am now under quarantine..

Facebook status was full of complains about the quarantine..

Everyone was so tensed right now.. I couldn't blame them for that, this situation was too sudden..

6 positive H1N1 had been suspected - which mean, still counting the days of quarantine.. =(

UUM & UPM were closed as well due to the same problem..
But well, they didn't have any quarantine.. Haiz.. What is happening in UKM KL Campus?

I am so damn confused right now...

This evening, CS dropped by at the entrance to pass me some food..

Thank you, CS.. Hotdog buns & SUSHI!!!!

Freaking happy to see sushi when I am under quarantine.. LOL...

Quarantine - Day 1 (27.07.2009)

Suspected H1N1 outbreak in my hostel, Kolej Tun Syed Nasir in Titiwangsa.

I went to campus early today. I went to the library & study for Medicine and Society. Very unexpected, someone came and announced that campus will be closed for a week due the reason I had stated above. We were asked to go back to our hostel for quarantine.

Damn! It can't be so fast.. I knew this is going to happen someday, just not today.. Gosh..

I rushed back to my hostel and it really look like something BIG had just happened in there. We were required to go in and stay. While my friend & I walked in (no choice), I witnessed a few of my coursemates walked pass the entrance with their luggage. I was like 'Hey, how could you...'

They wore mask & walked out jz like that. The guards called them to confirm where they came from. I jz can't believe that they continued what they were doing. Maybe the guards were too dumb enough to take a serious action towards them. That was so irresponsible! They were sick & when they heard we were going under quarantine, they ran..

I have to admit that - they are medical students! *What a shame..*

We had talk from Dr Ismail about the outbreak and purpose of having quarantine. More than 20 students have infleunza-like symptoms.. Under the order of Ministry of Health of Wilayah Persekutuan KL, our hostel was ordered to undergo quarantine while our campus was closed.

All this happened in jz less than 24 hours, but for me, I felt like it took a month..

Hell.. Life under quarantine was so miserable..

My brain is playing psychology game..

Feel like virus are surrounding me.. *Sigh*

Western weekend

I want my weekend back!!! AWWWW... Time passed so fast when I was just about to enjoy my weekend.. *Sigh*

Well, I had my weekend with my cousins & uncle.. Met Yu Li jie jie & her husband, I think the last time I met her was when we celebrated grandpa's birthday a few years back.. She still look quite the same. (Proved that she is still young..haha).. Had dinner with them in Happy Cafe.. *FISH & CHIPS*

Saturday lunch with Kevin ko ko in Star Village.. Western food again zzzz... *MUSHROOM CHICKEN CHOP*.. Not bad.. Well recommended.. After meals, I challenged my mind & body for DDR (Dancing Dancing Revolution?.. Forget already..) to burn my calories...

Dinner.. Nice one in Sweet beans or Red beans.. Nevermind, Ern & Tyng confused me with different names.. We had *CHEESE NOODLE WITH CHICKEN CHOP* I hope that is the right name for the food.. wakakkaa... Well recommended as well...

Today lunch in Calories.. I forgot what is the makanan called... Fried rice with pork chops & eggs wrap around it.... The portion is too big for me.. Burn away the calories by DDR again.

Dinner, Tyng & I cooked pasta with bolognese sauce.. I cut the chicken frankfurter... I didn't take picture of the dish cz it was kinda horrible.. Tyng & I had to agree with that.. The bowties pasta were so hard to cook.. The uneven shape of the pasta is so annoying... *sweat*
