Episode 4
The episode started of still clinging on Jayden's playboy personality and how these 3 stewardesses still trying their best to date him while still being best friends. They even come up with schedule to date with Jayden without offending each other.
Coming to Episode 4, I'm started to get a bit bored on his playboy image that was put on the screen time for too much. I sense that there are still a lot to dig inside Jayden. Well, I guess it maybe there is still a long way to go for this 43 episodes drama.
Every time when something funny or happening going to happen on a particular flight, they always have the same combo of the more famous pilots together, rather than scramble the team up a bit. On brief shot of the cockpit in any other flight, the team of pilots seem to be more well distributed among the actors.
After Jayden overheard the conversation between 3 about a senior female engineer who had just returned from Hainan, Jayden suggested that he will go walk around checking the ground crew.
He then found a long hair fella who he thought was the engineer the trio mentioned, it turned out to be embarrassing mistake and slammed the cockpit door hard. He warned the trio if anyone would mentioned "female engineer" anymore during the entire flight will be off load.
I love Jayden's expression here! So many hints around with his expression from the trio's conversation until he did that terrible mistake. Curiosity!
Back in London, Holiday was still seen sending emo emails to her boyfriend called Daniel (Well, her real life boyfriend is Daniel too, haha!)
At night, she ran towards Sam when she was lacking in 100pounds to gamble on a football match for Liverpool. The more reasonable and saying that he has his own principle, he will not lend her the money regardless what happened. The crowd then cheered in front of the TV when Liverpool scored that leave Holiday angrier.
Not very sure about this scene, it is more of showing the personality of Holiday and Sam really does cancel each other, which is the perfect match? This is more like showing how much Holiday wants to earn more money.
Back at home the next day, Sam showed Holiday the newspaper on the losing of Liverpool. However, she did not thank him and blaming him for not helping her when she needs help. Holiday takes revenge when Sam left the desk while he was making a dessert. She mixed everything she could reach inside the dough.
When this scene comes, it is not tough to guess what TVB wants to show next. It is either the dessert turns out real good or really bad that the story gets more and more draggy when they constantly revenge on each other.
The latter sounds more like Taiwan drama, so you know what's coming up.
The souffle turns out really good and it was the taste that Sam was looking for all this while. Thinking that Sam would give her a lesson, Holiday locks herself in her room and turn on the radio loud enough to keep their conversation going. Sam has a "Help Me" note cling on the remote helicopter to deliver his message.
Holiday couldn't really remember how she did it, so they experiment it with 2 trays of souffle.
Super like the expression plays on Sam when he tasted the souffle!
One of the best scene of the episode
It was then revealed the right taste of souffle brings back Sam's memory on Zoe's favourite french dessert. He once promised Zoe that he will be back to work once he found the taste of the souffle that they used to have. The actor was at his best during the scene and decided to end his holiday, and back to work.
Fantastic how he link his emotion and the flashback, tears that seems to roll down but didn't
It was the same team of pilots flying from London to Hong Kong with Sam being one of the passenger in the Economy class.
Coco handed him the Welcome Home cupcake by the entire cabin crew. He was then greeted by Issac, trying to be really steady knowing his brother will be judging his performance. Angela Tong appeared unnamed as a fortune-teller sitting beside Sam in the plane. She then told Issac that there is a dark cloud around him and then chant for a safe flight.
Angela then called Coco halfway through the flight, telling her that there is "something" on her seat. She requested to change her seat and left her gem on the seat coding that the seat has another soul.
Angela cameo appearance was only to add more fun through the entire flat episode here. Glad to see her here being someone really dramatic, she is definitely one of the best choice for this character.
After what Angela told him and having his brother in the passenger seat, Issac proved that he needs a lot more to improve on himself. A really bad hard landing that leaves all the passenger complaining and a scene shows Sam shaking his head on the landing. Can't help, Jayden signed the report on hard landing.
I love scenes that shows how the pilot handles situation during the flight, like hurricane warning, windshear, taking off, landing and lots more. However, most of the time scenes like this are quite brief. I was hoping for more scenes about the job either as pilots, engineers or cabin crew than the talking among the actors :)
Well expected, Sam joined Skylette Airlines and the brothers are going to fly together again! I am anticipating on how the brothers going to take the challenge in the flight together or maybe Jayden and Sam saving a flight from some huge problems
As usual, the big brother style for nagging the 2 for buying tons of processed food and still keeping the whole trays of rotten fruits.
Coco was telling Issac regarding Angela during the flight when the electricity in their house went off. She believed that Zoe's soul comes home with Sam and freaked Issac out.
The episode ends with the appearance of the Zoe-look-alike character (also by Myolie Wu), Summer
Episode 5
Ta-dah...
I admit I wasn't a big fan of Myolie Wu but I like her character here as Summer, which has a cooler personality than Jayden,
Summer was seen here as the leader (they called her big brother) of the group of engineer which consist all guys. TVB loves to show how manly a female is when she is the boss of all guys whether in the police department or mechanics, etc.
In short of time, they were called by the initial team to look for the burn mark on the airplane when the pilot reported the plane was hit by lightning while landing.
This scene was to show how excellent Summer is as the big brother in the bunch of guys
Curiosity strikes again, he called her Ha San, instead of Summer
Either she was someone he really serious about in the previous relationship or she is his sister?
Jayden's chinese name is Khoo Ha Yeung btw..
This time Jayden met the right female engineer, after the super embarrassing incident he had in Episode 4. He placed a hand cream he got from France on Summer's toolbox and revealed himself afterwards. Not much of communication exchange here, but Summer's eyes said it all. She squeeze the hand cream letting it drip on the floor to deliver her message on how much she hates Jayden.
Wow, what a waste of hand cream. I got a "heart pain" when I see the cream was wasted that way. Haha!
Lucky Jayden that Summer still contained herself with professionalism on rejecting the hand cream, if it is me, I would have squeeze it on his face.
While walking around the airport, Issac saw Summer sitting in the cockpit and he took a closer look. It creeps him out, thinking that he saw the ghost of Zoe.
Well, isn't it creepy to go up the airplane in the dim light alone when you've just though you saw a ghost?
Issac went to look around at the airplane, as well as the cockpit but nobody was around. That freaks him out even more.
He then went home to tell Coco, Roy and another friend of theirs who was unnamed but I saw her as ground crew about the spooky incident. They decided to try the Ouija board to find out the answers.
Who the heck thought of Ouija board at this point, isn't it more spooky than it was suppose to be?
Okay, this is a drama. A more dramatic way to give the audience some answers and clues.
Coco started the question "Does Zoe comes back with Sam?"
The thing started to move and stop at "No"
Coco asked the next question, more straight forward this time, "Was it Zoe, the one Isaac saw?"
The thing letter spelled "LOVER"
Audience, it is hint hint time!
The girl Issac saw, who is Zoe will be Issac's lover *jeng jeng jeng*
TVB twist is always like that, his lover is going to look exactly like his dead sister-in-law, in turn making her sister-in-law of Sam in the future. *Genius*
This scene is a bit unnecessary for me.
Jayden saw Summer's signature in the logbook and requested to see her, just to ask about the spoiled toilet. Well, it was obvious he wanted to see her.
On the other hand, this scene was made to let Issac first met Summer as a real person and to make him listen to both of their conversation.
This is cool, seeing how Sam practicing for his first flight after stopping for almost 2 years. Look at those equipment he has. His first flight will be an exam for him.
Jayden purposely changed his schedule to fly with Sam. Sam was the first Chinese pilot in Hong Kong, his name was everywhere. The star pilot, Jayden wants to work with him badly to see whether he was living up his name.
Meeting up not even a few minutes, they already have a debate on how many fuel to bring. Sam was requesting for 5 tonnes that surpised Jayden, which is too much for him. Since Sam is the pilot flying, he stays with his decision.
During the flight, the tower informed the pilots regarding military exercise at a nearby area and suggested to deviate their plane. Sam then deviate the plane the other way, which take a longer turn but further from the military exercise area more than the suggested one.
This was one of the best debate between Sam and Jayden had while taking their break, with Matthew and Heather watching. Well, it is worth watching the 2 best pilots speaking on their opinions.
Jayden was curious on how Sam predicted the military exercise incident earlier which is the reason why he took a little bit more extra fuel. Sam only gave a simple answer, which was to pay attention to the news.
The debate started after that when Jayden wondered why Sam didn't take the tower suggestion to deviate 10 miles to the right, instead he took 80 miles away to the left, which in the end takes up more time and distance.
Sam always has his principle to better be safe than sorry, taking a step further from the area where military exercise was held was the best choice to secure the safety of the entire flight.
Jayden still didn't seems to be convinced though.
One great scene as well :)
After they landed back in Hong Kong, before Jayden left the cockpit, he commented that if the flight would stay in the air for more than 5 seconds would be great.
Sam looked blurred and asked "Excuse me?" but Jayden just replied "Forget it. Nice flying with you" and left. Sam was left not knowing what happened and Matthew didn't explain the whole thing.
Until Sam met Jayden with the usual bunch of his fangirl, one of the stewardess told Sam that they were able to claim their taxi fares if the plane landed at 11pm and after. However, Sam landed the plane at 10.59pm 55 seconds, which is 5 seconds earlier. Therefore, Jayden will have to send the girls home to save up their taxi fares.
After Sam finally realized the real hint behind Jayden's words earlier, he feels sorry due to his lack of experience working in Skylette Airlines.
All the Sam vs Jayden ended there, which I love so much!
There is this one time Sam told Coco and Issac that ordering pizza is much better than eating processed and instant food. However, I don't think the dishes surrounding the pizza were good either. After that, most of the coming scene whenever they are eating, they are sort of having pizza!
The table interaction back at home was more of showing the audiences chemistry between Sam and Issac as brothers, which I sort of like it.
Even though they didn't return from work together, whenever they gather to eat, there must be Roy! Did he stays next door or what? He is just there almost every time.
I just realized Summer had so many people rented those rooms in her house, all working in Skylette Airlines. Even the uninvited Jayden wanted to join the rest by renting another room in the house.
I thought she will chase him out of the house looking at how much she hated him previously. But, she ended up telling him the rules of staying in her place and let him in. Everyone still guess that Summer was his ex-girlfriend that he was trying to mend things up. So, what say you? It seems more complicated.
Episode 6
Currently, TVB is a bit desperate in showing their actor's body in order to make the female audience scream. Well, Jayden's body was good for his age.
Ah B (one of the member under Summer's lead) took the notice away from the board leaving Jayden uninformed regarding the water shortage. Jayden only notice another memo outside the house and when he was out, the door was locked from the inside.
Every time you see a TVB actor only with a piece of towel, expect that he will flashing. You will guess it 99% right for the next scene. His towel fell off when he was asking the aunty for a phone call.
The question is finally answered, Jayden and Summer are siblings!
There are still a lot to dig on what happened previously that Summer still hates Jayden, but slowly she started to treat him a little bit nicer than before. She hates him but still soft-hearted.
The scene was just very brief. Summer denied she has a brother, however Jayden insisted that he will take care of Summer from today onwards.
Now it left me with curiosity on how their siblings turn out sour
Pansy spotted Jayden alone, still feeling upset from his sister's reaction. But within split seconds, Jayden started flirting again. How to resist right when this beautiful lady comes towards you, haha!
His line was so cheesy, but Pansy seems to love it and end up making out. I didn't see that coming! This was the first scene Jayden was seen kissing a girl after 6 episodes.
Why did Pansy wears the same clothes every time we saw her on screen?
It was the same clothes she had in Episode 3!
This guys having unhealthy food again every time they gather to eat, lol!
Throughout the episodes, this bunch only have 1 topic. They constantly worried on what will happen if Sam meets Summer and they end up being really paranoid about it.
Later in the episode, Roy mentioned that both Sam and Summer work at the same place, eventually they will meet. Then, the worried Issac said the God will decide no matter how they try to avoid them meeting each other.
In the end, they kind of worry about nothing and self-comforting.
Issac is totally over paranoid in this scene just to keep Sam and Summer's distance.
He has the convinced Sam to wash his hand again to leave the seat.
When Sam was away, Issac told Summer and B that he would love to take their seats because he is having flu.
So lame la right!
He went to the extend of pushing them out from the door to pace up when Sam walked out from the toilet.
Actually, once Summer left, Issac was able to join Sam for the meals. I'm not sure why he has to drive Summer and B home, leaving Sam alone with the food. Isn't that more suspicious?
Back at home, Sam confronted Issac for leaving him alone with 2 sets of meal and he even have to carry his hat and briefcase home. Issac feels sorry and stop him from nagging, he even called Sam UNCLE! So cute!
Here, we jumped into another project in this series.
Tony wants to continue the project he used to plan with Sam, called Pre Pilot Project (PPP). They have the meeting with their boss, Adrain, PR manager Rosa and their sponsor, Mr Heung. The project was to help youth in achieving their dream of becoming a pilot.
Another expected twist here.
HK drama always have at least one super rich guy with great ego that will ruin some projects by the lead. Mr Heung misplaced his passport in the jacket he had it kept by the cabin crew. When he realized he lost his passport, he requested to leave the plane which was not allowed. The purser of the flight, Rachel (by Jess Shum) had to deal with the matter and Mr. Heung mentioned that he knows Sam. Rachel informed Sam, however Sam leaves the efforts to the cabin crew, if it is not settle in 5 minutes, the plane will take off. Sam's request totally pissed Mr. Heung off by stop supporting the PPP.
On the next scene, I guess this place was the Hong Kong Aviation Club, no?
Angus was Mr Heung's pilot trainer, at the same time Jayden was there too to fly.
Angus had an heart attack and he left Mr. Heung alone to control the plane. This is the Cessna 172P Skyhawk, if I'm mistaken because I saw B-HRH on the plane.
The panicked Mr. Heung who claimed to have only a few lessons with Angus called for Jayden's help.
Jayden who was flying side by side with Mr. Heung gave him calm instruction on how to land the plane. The expected part was here when Mr. Heung was greatly grateful towards Jayden's help and decided to continue the PPP with Jayden joining the project.
I like Adrain, the boss. He was so happy with the PPP that he made a song out of it with his guitar. He had Sam, Jayden and Tony here to inform them about Jayden joining the project. The apologetic Sam looked relieved.
I like it when Adrain called Sam the Captain America, Tony the Iron Man and Jayden the Batman.
I thought Jayden will be the next hero from the Avengers, instead of Batman. Jayden as well give the "why Batman?" look on his face.
First scene of Tung Oi Ping (by Toby Leung), which I believed working as airport ground crew leader. She was giving order to her crews on how to handle to those stranded passengers in the airport due to the Level 3 typhoon warning.
Yay, Jim Jim (by Him Law) is finally here!
He was one of the passenger in the flight piloted by Jayden, who had to delay from taking off due to the Level 3 typhoon. He was portrayed here as an athlete, but I wasn't sure what sports. He was one of the calmest passenger in the entire plane.
They have their red alert on due to the typhoon. Summer and her teammates rushed for shelter leaving their toolbox scattering near the plane tyres.
I love this, at least I learn how the airport crews from different job aspect work when the unpredictable weather changed!
Taking this just because I saw Kuala Lumpur in the board, haha! I know, so lame :)
This trio still talking about the same thing about Sam bumping into Summer someday. This is where they saw Sam and Summer walking towards each other.
The episode ended with them finally seeing each other face to face. This has definitely no impact towards Summer. She repeatedly said "My English name is not Zoe, even my Chinese name is not So Yi" to everyone that stared at her.
A brief shots on episode 7 was shown after the end of episode 6.
PPP attracts Jim Jim, and the last shot revealed Holiday is in HK!
