facebook vs friendster

Which is more popular right now? Two social pages to connect people around the world. So, what's your choice??

Facebook?????? OR Friendster??????

Here comes my personal opinion about them... Erm...

Facebook.. (Or well, muka buku..XD)
I joined Facebook a lil bit later as I didn't see that I have to sign up for so many social network stuff. So, I leave it and didn't bother to take a look of it. Well, not to deny, my brother introduced Facebook to me as he enjoyed it more than Friendster. After a long while, I decided to sign up and take a look. In the beginning, I didn't understand much how Facebook really work coz I looked so much different from Friendster. Later on after I had added more and more people in my friend list, I got to learn a lot about Facebook from them. Now, I had more fun in Facebook and spend more of my time with it compared to Friendster. This is because I was attracted by the applications in Facebook. Some of them were already offered in Friendster but some are really new for me (you know, NEWBIE...).

The applications I had in my profile page now are some of these...
-
The Heroes Ability (where u can have abilities & kacau your friends)
- Growing Gift (send a pot to your friends & will grow into something)
- Send coffee, chocolate. chocolate truffles, bracelets, sushi....
-
Lil Green Patch (where u send plants to friends to support the Green.. deforestation, global warming issue...)
- Hatching Eggs (interact, warm the egg and hatch a baby...)
- My City (adding citizens in the city..)
-
Compare People (very popular application.. you compare your friends in different aspects & there will provide you your rankings too..)
- etc....

And there are still lots of application to FLIRT (for you who are interested!!!), throw cakes to your friends, give a hug, kiss or even a wack...

Friendster.....
Well, I start off as the member if Friendster since 2004 if I'm not mistaken.. Really interested on it as the first place where I got to add my friends in and create a big network with my long lost friends too.. After all, I started to lose my interest in Friendster as it doesn't have much to look for.. It did improve by having the emoticon thingy, start to add in applications, games, horoscope, albums, groups, bulletins.. However, it didn't put more stuff as Facebook did, so I had less time visiting Friendster now..

One different thing in Facebook which is obvious.. Which is everyone's favourite.. Viewing people!!! In Friendster, if you wanna view people anonymously, you will not know who view you either.. But if you are curious on who is viewing you, same thing will happen to the person you viewed.. They know you viewed them.. Except you didn't log in and search their names or emails to view them.. In Facebook, we will not get the notifications on who is viewing us.. For people viewing fans, this is a good news for you.. Haha... Just for fun anyway.. No matter what, enjoy!!!!!

Public holiday.... (like I care..)

Well, the title tells it all, today is public holiday. It is the Hari Keputeraan Agong - whatever it is called.. Just a day that is said to be the King's birthday. I don't think His Majesty's big day is today, lucky him having two big days in a year. But I really have to say there is no fun being a KING!!!! He read his speech from the yellow-so-gold bookish thing like a kid doing a reading in front of the class. Why? This is because he don't have to prepare his speech, the ever-ready speech was just done for him and he will just present it.. Nah, what to do.. He is the King of Malaysia.. As a Malaysian or whatever it is, long live the King.. Can't be that cruel, if not, kena pancung!! (Haha...)

Nothing much to do even if it is a public holiday, that doesn't make any GREAT sense for me anyway.. I'm always in holiday mood since I graduated from JMC.. But, it is a good day for dad to have another holiday.. Accompanying my parents to have a walk and shopping which I am somewhat not very interested in.. Later on after the lunch, my dad and I started to watch

THE CHRONICLE OF NARNIA : PRINCE CASPIAN!!!!!!

Well, not ashamed to admit that we had the pirated DVD we got from the supermarket.. Last week, we watched Iron Man on Sunday.. Erm.. Narnia.. I watched the first movie in the cinema years ago when I had my holiday in KL.. Still vivid in my memory, I watched it with my brother, dad and mom where dad got dizzy with the big screen in Mid Valley.. So, here comes the sequel.. At the beginning, I was a bit lost as I didn't much get it what it was.. Well, lucky me I didn't really get lost and gain myself back after some times.. Haha, I must be dreaming anyway...

My review.. Not much I can comment on it as I found out that I like the first movie better.. I didn't blame on the part that I am 'lost' in the story but it seems less attractive (I'm not sure this is the word I should describe, kinda weird) to me compared to the first one.. It did gave me the interest to keep watching and I sat in front of the TV without going for any snack break or toilet break.. At last, it finished in a relieve but it is sad to see that they won't return to Narnia anymore and the 'we can't work anymore' between Susan and Prince Caspian.. Well, every story had its ending and this is cool.. Hehe.. 4 stars should be enough though..

my blood test result...

HIGH IN CHOLESTEROL!!!!!!!!!

Erm.. Let me see how I should I begin with this topic.. Well, I had my blood test last month which is my first blood test. Nothing much to reveal. The shocking news was my cholesterol level was unexpectedly high. Normal human cholesterol level should not exceed 5.2. However, mine was 6.1.. Weird huh? But not to be blamed that I love seafood a lot. Name it and I will definitely licking through it. For now, I have to start controlling my dietary and start exercising more. No more slacking during the holiday. Doctor said that I don't have to consume medicine at this age, which is way too young to have a high cholesterol. Maybe after 3 months, I have to go and have another check.. Really need it..

LOW IN IMMUNE FOR HEPATITIS B

Detected!!! My Hepatitis B immunity is zero as stated by my blood test report.. So, vaccine is really needed and advisable.. I took the vaccine, no choice.. Everyone need to take the vaccine for three times for complete immunity. The second vaccine should be taken a month after the first one and the third vaccine, 6 months after the first one. The cost...erm..RM30 per vaccine.. It is much more cheaper than the vaccine I got for chickenpox last November, it was RM90 per vaccine where you need to take it two times!!!

After all, I suggest that everyone need to have a blood test around the age 18 just to verify something before furthering your study.. It is a better way for prevention. So that there's nothing to be worry about during your higher education especially when you are oversea. In conclusion, stay healthy!!! IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

I'm bacK...

After KMJ and slacking around at home, I'm back blogging... Lots of people are blogging now but I'm out of idea what to BLOG..

WHAT A RELIEVE!!!!! NO WORRIES ON RESULT ANYMORE!!!

4.00!!! What an ideal result!!! Well, excellent result doesnt mean we will get what we want. The chance might be high but there is still possibility for not getting the top choice. U KNOW!!!!!

So, after some considering, I made my decision to list Universiti Malaya medical course as my first choice. The others choices are medic, dentistry and pharmacy. I'm crossing my fingers that the government will put me around the top choices, at least from the top to the fourth choice. Well, I still need to wait and see.. Wish me best of luck then...

ANOTHER CHALLENGE DRIVING ON MY WAY!!!

I'm now having driving lesson every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the morning.. But recently, it had changed to afternoon.. Well, there are good and bad.. The good thing is I don't have to wake up early in the morning and drive like I had just awaken.. The bad thing, sleepy in the hot and warm afternoon.. My lesson usually starts at 3pm, I have my nap on that time sometimes.. Hehe, but no worries.. It is okay as I got to learn and have my test. I will have my driving test most probably on 16th June.. Hopefully I dont have to go there again after that.. Part of it is my skill, but I still need some luck anyway.... Again, wish me luck!!!

16 February 2008, Saturday

Nice cool weather.. Up the hill again after breakfast. We reached at the cabbage farm at 8am and briefing was given by our ketua rombongan, Mr Zuwairi on what specimens we are going to get for each group as each group was given a file of specimens pictures. After we, my group were lead by Miss Shafini into the cabbage farm and looked for what we should. None of my group members had the idea of where and what to find. In lecture, we were not in kingdom Plantae yet. When Miss Shafini saw d green piece on the soil, she was so excited and called all of to see it and take
it. We really had no idea what is so special about that thing. Then only she told us it was Marchantia sp. introduced the plants' part. After a few explanation from our facilitator, we barely understood it and started to fill our trays with it and Funaria sp..

And then, every group put their specimens together and video was taken when the lecturers were explaining the plants to everyone. Later on, we found a small snake type animal there and a big black-yellow spider. The lab assistant trapped them inside the glass bottle and will awet them.. Hehe.. Sounds kejam huh.. That's what Bio students love... So, this is the end of our 1st and 2nd bengkel. It ended far more earlier than schedule. With those extra time, we headed to ho
ney bee farm... Lotsa beautiful flowers can be found in the farm and no doubt, bees were everywhere..... wow.. you better don't kacau them and pluck d flowers... Just a very small farm where you will finished everything in about 10 minutes. We just spent some time taking pictures here and there.

Time to check-in!!!! We reached Hotel Rosa Passadena before 12pm. So, we had our free lunch there first before we were put in rooms. The food there was not-so recommended to try but it was because it was free, so just had it when you were really hungry.. hehe.. Buffet style and just eat then.. After that, we were
put in rooms and I was so damn bad luck separated from my groups member joining another 3 of them from the same group. I was in room A7 while the others of my group members were in A3, A27, A29 and A33. Felt so far from them.. But lucky me, I got to change my room with a gurl from Hayat 49 (my next door practicum). So, I moved to A27, where 2 of my group members were there. Hehe... Happy happy...

Gathering time again.. 1.50pm, everyone was at the hotel lobby to get ready for the 3rd bengkel. We were going down the hill ( i think) to Lata Iskandar to get some specimens at the waterfall. We took one and the half hour to reach
there from our hotel. But, the time we spent to collect the specimens were just around 30 minutes as it started to rain. The rain stopped 5 minutes later. This proved that we had spent more time on the bus up and down the hill than we did our job there..

More extra time we had, so we went to the tea farm. Nice view from the high place down to a wide piece of green tea farm. Most of them grabbed the tea from the tea shop and some souvenirs. I didn't buy anything as the price was quite high. I just managed to walk around the shop, looking at the tea farm and of course snapped some pictures for rememberance. After that, we continued our journey back to hotel. When we were back, we had no more schedule to follow for the day
and we were totally FREE!!!!!! You will never experienced that in KMJ... We had our shower after a long day of going here n there for specimens that you don't recognise. We were refreshed and had another free dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Here comes the fun part where we were free to walk around Cameron Highland. Most of just went to the pasar malam there. It was just very near to our hotel, so we walked there. But, the night breeze really chilled us out. Nevertheless, the freedom and fun still the most important when you were out of KMJ.... We found out that the things sold in the pasar malam is far more cheaper than anywhere else in Cameron Highland. I bought strawberry tea which is RM5.50 a box than RM7.00 a box in the tea shop that we went. After some times, you will find out that they sold almost th
e same thing along the pasar malam. Hehe.. I did try the fried mee over there too, the Chinese meal...

Back to hotel, we tried the strawberry tea outside our room and enjoyed d fried mee.. Nice nice... It was really happy moment.. Where can you
get all this in KMJ??? We chatted outside the room and then went to bed around 12am later.. Cold and nice sleep as all of us was so tired after the long day we had gone thru.. End of the fun day in Cameron Highland, my 1st visit there..

15 February 2008, Friday

Yo.. This is going to be the best event of my life in KMJ.. Da trip to Cameron Highland with other 47 selected Hayat students that had 4 flat on hand.. Very lucky me, I'm one of them and until now, I'm still feel lucky about it.. Hehe.. Cut d crap for now & follow my not so interesting tour on how my wonderful weekend went...

9.45pm, all the lucky one was gathered in front of our not so beloved hall, Dewan Sri Ledang (DSL). With excitement, everyone patiently waited for the lecturers and lab assistants n not to forget the college buses to be here. Before leaving, we were put in 5 groups and a short briefing were given. At first, it was said that guys will be in the 1st bus while girls will board the 2nd bus. After few discussions going on, the lecturers agreed to put Group 1 & 2 in the first bus while Group 3, 4 & 5 in the 2nd bus so that it will be more organised among us. So, what am I waiting for, just skip into the first bus.. Oh ya, i forgot to mention that I was in Group 1 as it followed our lecture.

Just 2 hours of journey in d bus, the driver decided to have a stop at nowhere I can recognised. hehe... Plus, I am damn sleepy that time as it was d effect of my motion sickness medicine that I had taken before leaving. We were at d 'nowhere' for about 40 minutes. What I did was just changing my clothes to the not nice KMJ shirt and chatted with d chinese gurls. Not much of us, just about 8 of us out of 48 students. After that, the journey continued and the driver put on a movie "The Banquet" but it stopped somewhere through d movie. Then, I just continued my sleep as it was already 1am that time. Another 2 hours of journey, and then we stopped by again. Most of us did not get down from the bus as everyone was damn tired that time. So, we just spent 30 minutes on the stationary bus and continued our sleep as the bus started to break the stationary state.

Around 4.30am, our journey started to go up the hill and turned around. I did noticed all the turning part of the bus but I am still very sleepy, so I didn't care much about it. Just let it be.. hehe.. At that moment, outside was dark, foggy and the bus really slow. So, we reached Brinchang at 6am. By the time I stepped out from the bus, wow..... The freeze in Cameron Highland made me shivered for some moment before I slowly adapted to the temperature there. Yet, it was still very cold for me. I didn't feel like eating after having long journey and in the freezing mode. No matter what, I had a three layer sandwich to fill my stomach as I know I am going to have a long day ahead of work.

w0rd hunt 2008

Sunday, 3 February 2008.

It was a very new experience for me on this date.. Although it was Sunday and I had replacement class on Saturday, I still had to wake up at 6am, which was earlier than usual. Woke up in the dark, had my breakfast and prepared myself. And then we gathered near block F as the event manager is Khairun, the block F representative. We then when to put the clues of the game around JMC. It was not an easy work although it looked like one. Haha..

At 8.30am, the contestants (3 members a group) were gathered at the parking lot in front of block F. When the game started, the committee members were scattered around the college area including me. Walking around to witness the 6 stations that the members had to go through before they got their clues and reached the final destination. It was not a very good day as it started to rain no longer after that. The members included the committee members were totally wet from hair to toe. I did 'curi tulang' and went to sit under the cafe's fan hopefully will dry up a bit before i continued my way.

Around 10am, the last team arrived at the final checkpoint and we gathered at the astaka. The groups were told to sing their group's song that they had composed when they were in one of the six stations. They were damn sporting and I did enjoyed the whole activity although my job was just walked around and made sure they didn't break the game's rules. Somehow the got wet experience and having fun with the committees were able to make me happy and amazing enough for the day.

The contestants & 3 committees at the final checkpoint...

2 bu$y w33ks !n kmj.....

Hola.. I'm back for my one week mid semester break now.. Before the break, i am having two very very busy weeks in kmj.. Packed schedule and hectic days were my companions...

Before my UPS (Ujian Pertengahan Semester), i am kinda busy with Voice Out Aloud (VOA) Club. We were planning the English festival which is coming soon after this break. I am in charge of drama competition which is not a very easy event but i will try my best to make it the best.. There are still other competitions like sports commentary, word hunt, tongue twister, karaoke, spelling bee and public speaking. Hopefully everything goes well. All the best to all my fellow committee team.. Besides planning for English fest, we did design our club t-shirt.. It was great to put our head together to design a t-shirt for ourselves.. Haha.. VOA committees rule!!!!

On 14th and 15th of January, we had our second UPS. On the first day, we had English, Mathematics and Biology/Physic/Account papers. When it was time for Math, i will have 'takut takut' feeling as I never have smooth and well moment doing it in most of my exams. But for this time, things did go better for me where i did answered all the questions with just a few mistakes which i never expect. This was really a relieve for me after the Math hour. On the second day, I took Chemistry and English listening papers only. I did quite some silly mistakes on the Chemistry paper anyway, crossing my fingers not to deduct lots of my mark. For English listening, it was the worst i had so far. The audio system was so not cool and I hardly listen word by word... We were just looking at each other after the recording... Blank face....

Exams over and here comes all the tutorials and lectures back to normal immediately. It was like we forgot everything about the UPS and continue our lesson. That's matriculation life.. Anyone thinks that was cool? It's really hard to handle. No matter how, I still take it as a discipline to train myself for any other tougher time ahead. Not like most of
the people in kmj, i did my work as anyone else, done my assignment on time, attending my co-curriculum, dealing with VOA and bulletin club. I learn a lot to put myself good in those hectic situation and take it as an experience. Sometimes i did felt pressure was surrounding me, but so far so good by now which I am kinda proud of myself. These were most of my life attempt I had for the first time leaving home and still going ahead.

For my one week break, I may take some of my time to relax and pamper myself to get enough rest. To gain and conserve my energy so that I can boost it when I go back to kmj.. There are still tonnes of thing awaiting me to be done. Looking forw
ard for more excitement of life back in kmj since I still have 3 months left over there. I will miss the place, the people and the atmosphere of pre-college life. University life may not be the same as what I am experiencing now. In conclusion, I am living my life to the max now.. People out there, do not be afraid to enjoy...
