Food Gallery @ Penang Times Square

Penang Times Square is just located around 200m from Hotel Sunway Georgetown where we stayed for a few days. It is a lazy day for us that had just settled ourselves in Penang for a few hours to drive to another place for dinner. Within walking distance, we are able to step into Penang Times Square. It has a good name but surprisingly it is quite empty on the 1st floor onwards until there is a supermarket called Sunshine City on the 4th floor of the building. Never that I see Chinese joss stick, incense and praying materials were sold openly in a supermarket, this is what Penang is special about

Move on to the hungry part. My parents prefer to have dinner in food court-like place rather than those cafe or restaurant. So, we had our dinner in Food Gallery that was jam packed with people and having hard decision on what to eat. For a moment in there, I thought I was in Singapore. Car-lag I suppose.

Brother's Green Curry Rice, which is super spicy
It is sold in the Thai food outlet

Mom's Taiwanese Chicken Wok set
I am not sure about the set name because there is no English at this outlet, from my own understanding I guess this is what it means
Indeed a very nice dish with really big portion, unfortunately the omelette that comes with the chicken was too salty

Dad's Taiwanese Pork Belly Wok set
This look interesting as well, but I didn't taste it
Oh yeah, it comes with peanut soup as well

Okay, I'm freaking sad now. I have no idea where the heck is my dinner picture now. Let words give you imagination on what I had for the day. It is called Spaghetti Bolognese and Tortilla Barbeque Chicken. It is a dish with small portion of spaghetti and 2 pieces of chicken nachos with coleslaw that cost me RM 7.90

A good place to dine in with variety of choices and it is quite affordable. For those who stay in Hotel Sunway, save up car petrol and have a good walk over this place during the evening. What's bad is that you need to take your own risk in crossing the roads

Penang Times Square is sort of a failure.. There are so many other shopping complexes within the vicinity. I sometiems wonder why they build so many shopping complexes when the population of Penang isn't that high. But anyway it gives Penangites lots of choices when it comes to shopping time XD
