Super 8 Premiere Screening

Big, huge, juicy, fat THANK YOU to Nuffnang for the premiere screening tickets of Super 8! I have been anticipated to watch this movie ever since I know this movie is going to release this summer. This is my first time going to a premiere screening in KLCC. I don't really love the place due to the crowd that makes you move likes molecule in solid object.

Out from my house around 5.30pm, very heavy rain pour that moment messing up the KL traffics. It was jam almost every road. I'm super hungry and cold in that car that I fell asleep because I couldn't bear with the stomach growling which is worsen by the car movement that move a little and stop too frequent in the jam. Yup, I got motion sickness! Lucky enough we were out early, reached the crowd-pack place around 6.50pm

Me's look for the screening
After awhile, I found myself having some evil and suspicious smile in this picture

We (the super cool bloggers gang) gathered to have dinner together in Signature Food Court in Level 2 as most of us preferred food at affordable price as KLCC has most of the pricey restaurant and we get to choose what we want to eat

Has been missing Cafe Milano in the Food Court for a long time
Finally, I get to relieved my hunger with Chicken Lasagna
The Spaghetti Carbonara in the picture was Jayren's dinner

8 Super 8 tickets, courtesy of Nuffnang
Finally I got myself another nice card ticket, the last one I had was Burlesque
Other than that, we were only given paper tickets

But, they tear part of the ticket at the counter before we went into the cineplex
=(

Eli's review of Super 8

Heart the supernatural feeling of this poster of Super 8
A film directed by J.J Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg, this is one of the reason I'm looking forward to this scientific fiction film because they hardly fail to impress
It is screen in Malaysia on the 9th June 2011, where we watched one day earlier

Other than my curiosity in wanting to know what's inside the derailed train, the kids casts are actually one of the thing to look forward into this movie. Don't this kids just remind you of ET?

The movie starts with a lot of questions in my mind, asking why does this happened. Curiosity leads to another curiosity, which later it explains in the movie. The script, for me was quite good for a movie like that and I love the chemistry between the kids. I wouldn't want to create spoiler here how does the "creature" inside the derailed train looks like but I was a little disappointed because I put too high expectation that the "creature" is going to be super unique and cool.

Worth watching in cinema!
I gave the rating of 8/10, in my personal opinon
I love the movie, I like the concept that use these kids to view at this incident
Some scene might be a little bit draggy but it was instilled with feelings and care for each other
Warn you, there are quite a lot of scene when there are total silence, you be prepared to give yourself a shock jump, if you're really ready for that
Anyway, it wasn't a disappointment and I actually wish to watch again

Why Super 8? It is very blur of me asking this question after I finished the movie. I didn't do any homework before setting myself for the screening. It is called Super 8 based on the 8mm film used by the kids in the movie to film their own short film. Want to watch their short film? Don't run away once you see credits of the movie! It is shown with the credit scene, bet you'll love it!
